So this weekend I had originally wanted to post a recipe for a really good Chicken Marsala dish served with Fettuccine pasta. I had all the ingredients already purchased and planned out. Then my plan completely flew out the window.
Turned out that my long-time HB (Honey Bunny aka Boyfriend) decided to propose to me this weekend! As in PROPOSE MARRIAGE to me. So yeah, I think that’s a pretty good excuse to skip some pressure cooking.
So for those of you who care to know how it went down, you can keep reading. Otherwise, feel free to browse through the rest of the blog for actual pressure cooking recipes.
I was hosting a birthday party for myself and also a cooking club all in one day. It was a Breakfast @ Tiffany’s theme with Breakfast & Brunch style food served by the cooking club members. And I also had jewelry display of the Lia Sophia collection. It was also planned that some guests would watch the actual movie upstairs in my “fiancé’s” demo theater which is decked out with a lot of home automation equipment and touch-panel controls, which he also has downstairs to control the home. (It’s what he does as a living, so these “toys” are inevitable.)
Anyway, I guess he had a made a video of his marriage proposal a few weeks in advance. And he took over our movie viewing of Breakfast @ Tiffany. He stopped the movie and switched it to play his video instead. Then programmed the touch-panel controls in the theater with a YES or NO choice which I could press. I guess you just have to see the video to really understand what I mean.
So….I guess I’m getting married. People keep asking me if I feel any different. Well, uh, no, not really. We’ve lived together for over 3-years now and just last night we were still bickering in the car about his obsession with eating sweets, because he was too busy trying to get a cream puff out of a bag and decided to drive with his knees instead cause his hands were too busy. HUMF! So yeah, nothing is different. He is the love of all my lifetimes, if you believe in that kind of stuff. He is what balances my yin and my yang. He gives me the confidence and the inspiration for me to feel like I can do anything in the world. But just because we’re engaged now doesn’t mean I’ve stopped yelling at him to hurry up and get out of the shower already instead wasting water for 20-minutes!!!
I promise to return to our regularly scheduled program later this week!
